MARKET TREND ANALYSIS: Inventory levels remained relatively flat in January '08 vs. January '07, while the average sales price increased slightly. The ratio of list price to sales price improved slightly, and there was a noticeable reduction in days on market.
CONCLUSION: There is an upward trend in the Hicksville School District housing market. If you are a buyer that is interested in the area, you may be looking at a market that has already started to turn. It will take some more time to draw an absolute conclusion. I love this idea Adam... I do a monthly market update as well but not nearly as in-depth. I may have to revise mine and similar one for the towns in my area. This is great info for consumers to analyze whether they are buying or selling a home.
