Utah Higher Education Recap: Making Your Transition a Smooth Process!

Welcome to Utah and the diverse beauty found in our state with our plush white snow, deep green foliage, spectacular red rock, national forests, national parks and friendly, caring people.

You will find in my 3 part series of Utah Higher Education that in addition to the diverse beauty in Utah there is also much diversity in Utah's Higher Educational System through the great number of universities and colleges. (please click on the pictures for more information).

You have such an incredible opportunity for an exceptional educational experience in the state of Utah and a support system to help you in achieving those goals that you have set out for your future.

Utah’s success rate in the educational system proves to be outstanding and according to the 2006 Census Bureau, Utah ranked 2nd in the nation at 90.2 percent for ages 25 and older who have completed high school and Utah also ranked 17th  in the US, with a percentage of  28.6 for residents 25 and older who hold a 4 year college degree.

Amongst the number of universities, colleges and accredited schools throughout the state,  Utah has 3 major Ph.D level universities, The University of Utah, Brigham Young University and Utah State University where each have distinguished themselves for their world class research and innovation through the following examples which were pioneered by these Utah university faculty members..

  • The world’s first artificial heart transplant
  • The first artificial limb
  • Computer graphics  and word processing

A very significant part of your educational experience is being well informed and making the best decisions that are a good fit for you. The process of completing that goal and planning your college education is sometimes so overwhelming that the help and support of The Utah System of Higher Education may be needed. (Please click on graphics for important links).
