Digital cameras

If us stagers hire a professional photographer for every before and after we would be broke!

I believe we should all shoot our  before and afters  ,and it should be done professionally

Thats why investing in a good camera is a must for our businesses of staging.  I recently got a digital camera, its a FujiFilm S8000 and what a great investment this has turned out to be!

Happy cameras

Invest in a new camera and you wont regret it!

Great pics.  I need to break down and get a nice camera instead of the canon snapshot one! I seem to drop them quite often! Good Luck and Best Wishes!

Your pictures are great.  When my old goes - I did buy an attachable wide lens for it I am going to make sure I invest in a quality camera again.  The old one is a good one I just didn't buy it with taking interior shots in mind.

Fernando, I was SO careful to buy a good, top rated camera and I still can't get pictures like that!  I went and got the one everyone suggested here at AR (which was considerably smaller and less expensive) but my pictures don't come out very well....hmmm, maybe a photography class is needed!

Fernando - you are absolutely right! A good camera makes all the difference, and with photos being so important to our work, I think it is worth the investment. I did not get a good wide angle camera until the end of last year, and I would never go back to my old one. Great advice! And, I love your favorite photo too :)

Fernando- The photos look fantastic! My dad sent me a Fujifilm A900, which Circuit City was practically giving away, it had so many rebates. I just love it, but it doesn't have the wide-angle. But, since it was a gift, I feel like I should use it. I am VERY impressed with what your camera can do!!!

Hi Fernando: Your photos look so much better, and your work looks beautiful. I use a Nikon D40. It came with an 18-55 mm lens and I love it. The other item I purchased that has helped me tremendously is a tripod. I can take photos with no flash now and they don't come out all blurry. Someday I will read the book that came with the camera and I will learn how to use all the features it came with!

Nice photos!  I recently bought a new camera and am working on tweaking the shutter speed, but it has the wide angle lens that is a must!

I bought a wide angle that everyone was raving about, and have not been that happy with it.  The lighting has to be perfect, which is rare, for the pics to turn out really good.  The flash doesn't fill the photo either, not picking up the details.

Fernando - I really enjoyed this post - especially since I read it just before my new Canon sd870 arrived via UPS.  I'm so excited about the wide angle that I want to go rephotograph the two houses I jsut finished. I'm sure no one will mind... :)

I'll post the results, too!

Frenando - is this camera always wide angle or is it one of those you can switch back and forth with?

I'm wondering because sometimes I want to take a vertical shot without getting half of the rooms ceiling and floor in the picture and without zooming in really close (does that make sense). I recently purchased a wide angle camera, the Panasonic LUMIX, 28mm wide angle and 10X zoom and now carry two cameras to each job and use both. ...which I suppose isn't a bad thing since I'll always have a back up should one stop working for whatever reason while I'm taking my shots. Being in FL you probably always have great natural lighting coming in the windows of the rooms in your pictures, here in WA state - it's gray most of the time and lighting seems to be a little harder for me to get just right in my pics.

You are so right!  Your pictures say it all!  My partner bought a really nice digital SLR camera with wide angle lens when we first started and it really makes all the difference.
