Every once in awhile I feel the need to write about my English Cocker Spaniel "Shadow". We adopted her at 4.5 months old and literally "rescued" her from a tormented life. She is now over three years old and still our little 'baby'.
I just have some serious concerns when it comes to weird scenarios with Shadow. I discussed this with Kathy McGraw but she's not heard of some of these things...and to tell you the truth neither have I.
I do believe it may be 'normal' for a doggie to roll around in warm laundry....she literally throws herself down sideways and rubs the side of her head and neck on the "just out of the dryer warm" clothes.
She just rolls and rolls until it goes 'cold' and it is soooo funny. Butt up in the air and slide and roll. hahahaha!
Okay...but there are other instances of rolling that I don't understand.....like when:
- I gave her a piece of American cheese and she threw it on the floor and rolled
- I gave her a piece of Chinese green vegetable and she rolled
- Gary gave her a piece of sashimi (raw fish) and she literally spit it out and then....rolled.
Was it because of the smell of these things? Weird.
We cracked up so hard but can you imagine cleaning the crap out of her hair?
I think we'll just stick to just giving her a new baby. She'll carry that thing around for a couple of days until her jaw gets tired LOL!
My dog rolls in sashimi....does yours?
Now THAT is my question. Hearty har har!
