Here it is!

After an extensive beta training period, Top Producer 8i has been finally released!

Has anyone been notified yet?!?

We expect much from Top Producer! They are leaders in real estate industry systems and a move to a true web application id the way of the future.

This platform alone allows for multiple tabs and windows and speedier response time. Some of the other tidbits are that they have added some drag and drop functionality and have included some basic business metric tools.

Top Producer 8i is supported by it's strong foundation of relationship management as well as transaction management.

Current users of Top Producer Software will have few problems migrating to Top Producer 8i. There will still be a need for Top Producer Training for all proficiency levels.

This blogspace will be used as we move to 8i. Happy posting! We want your input and feedback to make this transition smoother!

Wasn't sure if I should go to 8i, I have 7i and love it. If it lets you open more than one window and is faster I will definitely, check it out. Do you know if it is worth the extra money to put it on a smart phone.

One more question, do you know if 8i is compatible with Vista, we have had a hard time with 7i an vista

I missed the 8I class here in Mesa, AZ today, kinda bummed out about it, but I hope to take a class as soon as another is offered and hopefully be able to get more out of 8I. With the recent change to FLEXMLS and the introduction of 8I the learning curve is huge. I hope to check back on this post and others to get more information.

I think 8i is great!

I was on the verge of ditching TopProducer7i completely, I was sooo tired of not being able to able to use the system from any computer (the applet thingy had to be installed)  and 7i always took soooo long to load.

I am finding 8i is pretty intuitive.  I think most folks could find their way around the basics without even attending a class.  (The basics being Add contact-Select Action Plan-Add Listing- Add To-Do, etc...)

Just read (or watch) some of the tutorials on TopProducer Campus, start playing around with it, and you should be able start using it right away

Hey everyone! I've been using 8i for several months now! (I complained enough about some issues and got put on a priority list to upgrade!)

It is much improved from 7i....probably the biggest is it's now web based...so you can use it from any computer anywhere.....Thank God! It does do multiple windows, depending on what you are doing. Some searches (say for a contact) will open another TP window, and while I have not tried it, I think you could work from all the windows.

It's still, for me, a very intensive program, and I wish TP would cough up for more on-site type training, not just the on-line part. We have a new sales rep in our area, and his first Quick Start call will be later this month. I'll be there. I saw him at a local trade show, and in the few minutes I was there, I learned something.

I got so messed up with 7i and action plans and all, that I spent an entire week over the Christmas Holiday deleting EVERY action plan I had assigned (that would be 600 and some!) and reworked my Personal Plan, and then set it back up to each contact. It still causes me problems if I delete a task, it bounces to the next one, and does not follow the timeline I established.

Probably one of the biggest things that DISAPPEARED was the ability to do a Marketing Link insert in an e-mail that is part of an action plan. UGH! That was one of the key things I set up in my new week long reassignment of action plans...and now it does not work! It made your e-mails look way more professional to have a link in them, rather than have attach something and they have to open it! I've asked for them to fix that feature in the next version...I hope they do.

Another drawback is using the financial part of 8i. 7i was much easier for my accounting of my business expenses in how you could enter them. In fact, I'm way behind on those entries and I will be getting them done in 7i before it goes away at the end of the year!

Overall, it's been a great help to my business and organzing me. I just wish they did not have to charge for every little thing. I'd like to get my e-mail on my phone, but there goes another $15 a month! It all adds up over time!

I have been using 8i for about 4 months or so and I have found it not quite a user-friendly as 7i. It seems I just got used to the 7i interface and then they changed. I don't feel it was for the better. I guess as I get to know 8i as I go along it may become more easier.
