Misc. road expansion projects - The primary N/S roads that get Pinal county residents to and from Gilbert & Mesa as well as the US 60 freeway are Power road, Ellsworth road, & Ironwood road.  Expansion projects have already been completed on Power & Ellsworth, and Ironwood road is expected to be completely expanded by the first quarter of 2008. They are also working on connecting East/West roads as far as East as Ironwood road to further support the growing needs of the rising number of Pinal County residents. East/West roads currently under improvement projects over the next 12 months include Ocotillo road, Queen Creek road, Germann road, Elliott road, & Guadalupe road.

Future Pinal County Freeways -  The long-term traffic solution for one of the country's fastest growing counties is a proposed North/South freeway system running from the US 60 in Mesa/Apache Junction all the way South to the 287 in Florence/Coolidge.  The proposal also calls for an East/West running freeway that would start at the 202 loop in Gilbert/Queen Creek and head East to the US 60 in Gold Canyon.  It appears that the majority of this proposed system would run through open state trust land that sits a few miles East of Laredo Ranch and runs from US60 down into Florence.
