It seems like everywhere I turn, I am constantly reminded about how bad things are supposed to be. According to the media, I should be wearing rags and holding a card board sign asking for donations in front of my office. I should up late worrying about how I can scrape enough change together to buy some Top Ramen and saltines to feed my family. When I first heard these grumblings, I'll be honest here, I really did have moments of despair. But , after some thought, I realized that the only thing I have control over is my own life.
It's hard to be sad all the time when you live in a town as beautiful as Big Bear, and I wasn't down for long. I looked around me and realized that the Realtors who were going to make it through were the ones who were prepared to work long and hard. The ones who have been around forever have one thing in common, persistence. There is alot to be learned from the long timers and if you pay attention you will learn that there is money to be made in any market. You just have to change your strategy. I am extremely fortunate to work for one of the best, and he has kept me motivated and given me the knowledge I need to succeed. The one thing Tim Wood stresses over and over is ATTITUDE. A positive attitude will not only keep you enthused, it will affect everyone you come into contact with. So I have made a commitment to myself to do my utmost to remain upbeat and to put in the hours necessary to be successful in this business.
