The real estate market in Port Townsend

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with RE/MAX FIRST, INC.
January was tepid with only 4 houses sold in the city limits of Port Townsend in the NWMLS.  Phone and showing traffic is up the last 2 weeks.  Spring is here and things should be ok this year with interest rates down and a large inventory.  Good time for Buyers!

As my wife is from Washington state, I like to keep tabs on your market.  I hope spring and summer are more successful for you - it seems there is a change coming!

If you are considering moving to Jefferson County in the near future, there are deals happening now.  Port Ludlow is a resort community only 15 miles from Port Townsend and they have Builder buy-back programs on the homes they are selling now.   The market in Jefferson county did go up last year and is slated to rise a little this year.

Hi Charlie, glad to hear things are picking up there. Snohomish county is doing great. We still have about 5 months of standing inventory, low rates and our economy is booming. I feel a spring bust coming here.
