It seems as if there isn’t a day that passes where you can read about more bad news on the economic front. Banks are writing down more debt, oil prices are jumping on the news of a falling dollar, and some even believe we're headed for a total meltdown. It's a very interesting time, but as Solomon said in Ecclesiates 1:9-14, "there is nothing new under the sun".

Whether you believe in God or not, that's the truth. World economy's have risen and fallen. Company's have risen and fallen. Investors have risen and fallen. It's just part of the reality of being human.

Sadly, the other part of being human is that we're often people who are a controlled by our fears. We hear about those problems with the economy and can't seem to overcome them, far too often.

Investing, and I mean good investing, isn't for the faint of heart. It's for those who can weather a storm. As a culture, we've watched too much stuff about getting rich quick and not enough about sticking with it through the fight. It doesn't take hordes of cash to be a great investor. It takes a good strategy, a good team, and some cahones. We've talked about the team and the strategy in the past, but I'm talking about the courage it takes to make strong decisions.

Don't mistake making risky decisions with making courageous decisions. Casey Serin made risky and even foolish decisions. Donald Trump has made courageous decisions about investing.

What are you doing to continue investing in a down economy? Are you still trying to figure out how to get loans from your bank when most are limiting everything? Or have you begun really searching and learning? Have you looked into seller financing strategies? What do you know about Self-Directed Roth IRA's, Land Trusts, and Lease Options?

Courageous investing takes smarts and cahones. The more you learn, the more you your cahones will grow. Learn. Then do something about it.
