Weight - Loss Challenge WEEK 7:

I thought this was going to be a rough week - with Valentine's Day and my Anniversary (all on the same day), there's no telling what my scale would say on Monday morning. We always celebrate special occasions with food and we always have Sushi Buffet on our celebration day. This year, we were still planning on it. Well, with my pregnancy and wanting to start this diet plan, I havent had my sushi - sashimi in over 1 1/2 years. I miss it so dearly......

Then in the evening, I made shrimp scampi for my husband. Like Rachel Ray says, It's simple DE-LI.......... Here's a picture I took of the dinner I made......

And here's the reason for this weight-loss challenge:

Little Boomer

Came Monday morning, I was even more surprised, I actually LOST weight - with my sushi pigging out. Looks like I should do more of this.

Goal = 28 lbs.
Walked a total of 17 miles.
Weight loss this week = 1.5 lbs.
Total Weight Loss since 12/31/07 = 11.1 lbs

That's very often what happens.  It's good to switch it up one day a week or so.  That way your body doesn't go into starvation mode and hold onto every calorie you put in.  Congratulations.  Love the baby picture.  What a sweetie!

Loreena, you know it takes 9 months to have a baby and in my experience from my two children it took 9 months to get back to where I was before.  Although even though I lost the weight I think everything got re-positioned but I love my children (now young adults) so it was well worth it.

I ate normally at my Valentine's Dinner too, and still lost weight as well.  Not sure about one day a week.  But clearly one day a month.  I'm down 15.2 lbs. since Jan 9th.  It would be nice if the second half of my goal went as fast and well as the first half.  But I keep thinking this has been so easy, it's got to get harder.  But with the weather getting nicer, getting out and walking is fun!

Beautiful baby and yes, well worth the effort.
