Business, for me, sometimes gets so crazy I feel that I’m barely keeping my head above water.

Every couple of months, it just seems to hit all at once! I find myself working 12-15 hour days just to stay on top of the details.

As much as I’ve disliked not attending to my blog regularly the past couple of weeks, I’ve had several critical transactions in front of me that necessitated my full attention. 24 hours a day doesn’t seem quite enough, let alone leave time to do any blogging!

I’ve worried a great deal about what my peers and readers must be thinking when I disappear from the blogosphere.

You've gotta close the deals when they roll in first, and blog later.  It's a good problem to have though.

Sandi, First of all, I love your page, the pink couch is perfect! This is one of those crazy weeks for me starting with one client at 8am and finishing with another at 9:30pm. You can't always predict how busy you'll be from one day to another and we can't do it all, so we'll have to be happy with what we do accomplish.

Rick-  sometimes I think being a full time blogger would be easier... definitely fun!  Unfortunately, I have to consider it more "fun," and get the work done first.

Sonja-  It doesn't always feel like the right choice--  I feel guilty!  I definitely didn't put all the work into building my outside blog only to abandon it, but the active clients must always come first  :)

Clint-  You're right-  it's definitely a good problem to have, and I certainly will not complain.

Nannette-  Thanks for stopping!

Debbie-  Thank you very, very much.  Come back and have a sit again soon.  Congrats on your busy day  :)  We most definitely can't do it all-  choices must be made.

Sandi... Noticed you slacked off a bit... Was thinking I should email you and follow-up on our discussion from months ago but if you're that busy I can surmise the answer.

Michael-  I've been fortunate to find a niche in a difficult market.

Dan Cummings-  Did you just call me a slacker?!  :)   I'll have to revisit that discussion...  I'm stumped.

Sandi - I love the Pink Couch!!  Great Site.   I completely agree....we need more than 24 hours in the day.  I can't keep up.  The blogging and the SEO is getting me more business.  This is a VERY good thing!

Sandi Bauman - Sorry.... I sometimes forget not everyone retains each tidbit for instant recall.   I'll email a memory jogger!

I agree Sandi.  Once I started getting busy it is SO hard to get back into the routine of blogging.  I need to just get back into the habit.  If I can give any advice, it would be to keep it up while you can.  Once you get away its difficult to get it back

Busy can be good...sometimes we need a break though, and blogging is not really a break, it's part of the job. Or seems to be!

I asked my one "famous" client how he updates his blog daily when his schedule is so crazy.  He told me he bankrolls blogs.  He'll sit down and write 10-15 more "generic' blogs at a time. When he's crazy, he'll post one of those, otherwise he writes as he's going through his day.

I have a very big problem with this, as well.  It also seems like I get inspiration, I'll write 3 blogs, post them quickly (within the same day) and then I hit a dry spell for the week.

Something that I've done when I'm feeling rushed or a "dry spell" - I'll find an article online, link to it, and comment.  Easier to talk with a jumping off point, rather than waiting for inspiration to strike.

Sandi - Heading over to the Pink Couch for my comment. Sounds like a place where I could sit and relax and get some therapy - LOL

I love the way you had title this blog........ I do feel that I've neglected my blogging too and there's no good excuse.

I had the same problem this week!  I've been so busy I haven't been able to keep up.  Glad to know I'm not the only one.
