Tradeshows are a HUGE success!

Recently I wrote a blog about trade shows and if anyone has had success from participating in them.  The link to the blog is as follows: What is the success rate of tradeshows?  Will it help grow your business?  My partner and I just finished our second trade show and I have to say that we feel they are really worth the money and time spent.

During the show, we were able to speak one-on-one at length with several agents (our card count is well over 75) and we were able to show them our portfolio of pictures and educate them on our services.  We had a lot of positive feedback and HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED SEVERAL LEADS AND JOBS FROM OUR PRESENCE AT THE SHOW.  We really wondered about spending the extra money to be the tote bag sponsor, but really feel it paid off as everyone was carrying our bags with our logos on them stuffed with our marketing materials.  One agent actually called a client while in our booth to talk about us staging their home!  I just got home from this lovely show....after stopping by a home we just staged to make sure it is 'show' ready for the potential  buyers flying in tomorrow AND checking on another home that I am meeting a top broker at tomorrow to look at our work for 3 jobs in a speculative neighborhood.....and I already have emails pertaining to the show!!!!  If anyone is wondering whether to participate in trade shows...my advice is YES!   In our area, they are certainly worth the time and money.  We are really blessed to be in an area with beautiful homes AND amazing Real Estate Agents!

Another great aspect of the show.....we met a fellow stager (whom is not on active rain yet and we are going to change that!) and she is a lovely lady with great talent and we are proud to have her staging in our area!

I would say this was a very successful day!

I would say it was an extremely productive use of your time (and money).  Good for you both.  You two have a lot to be proud of.  You've worked really hard and have done a fantastic job in proving the value of staging!  Keep up the great job.

Thanks for the update on your trade show Tracy.  I'm really glad to hear that it was so successful for both of you.  I'm sure hoping that mine will be too next month.  You've given me hope!  :-)

Tracy ~ Glad to hear this worked out for you.  It is so expensive to get involved with one here.  Maybe one day!

Kathy ~  Thank you so much for your kind words and support.  We were really pleased with the outcome of this show and equally pleased to have so many agents tell us that they think staging really helps to get homes sold.

Charlene ~ I must say that this show truly exceeded our expectations!  We really feel it was well worth the money and know that we will get future business from our marketing and networking efforts.   Good luck to you on your upcoming trade show and I KNOW YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!  Keep us posted!

That is very exciting.  And you two will do a fantastic job with the follow up on all those leads!  That's where so many drop the ball.

Go get 'em girlfriend!

Kathy ~ I agree about the expense!  We really debated about this and decided to just go for it....and it really paid off.  Again, we have a GREAT Real Estate community in our area!

Terry ~  Thank you again for your support!!  We will continue to come up with new things as so many of our ideas are now being implemented by others.....that is a great thing (imitation is the best form of flattery) but we always want to go that one extra step for our clients.  Hmmm....our minds are already racing!!!  Got any ideas???

Mary Lou ~ Thank you!  It was a great show.

Jackie ~ Thanks you so much!!!  We truly love what we do and are so fortunate to have it so well received in our area.

Karen ~I have already put my follow up plan into action and will be implementing it this afternoon (after I meet with a broker to look at 3 vacants for staging!) and get a proposal out for another vacant.  We keep wondering when our day off is?  LOL!  We will be taking time off to head to meet you!

Congratulations & glad to hear of your success!  I'm also glad to hear you're building a relationship with a competitor!  All too often, people discount the benefits of relating with competitors - there IS value there... Congrats again!

Josh ~ Thank you!  It was actually really nice to get to know this lovely lady whom is a stager in our area.  It is funny because we have admired her work for a while now, and we we met her, she said she admired what we did.  It is nice to know that if there was ever a job that we could not do, we would not hesitate to refer it to her.

I will participating in my first show in April and look forward to seeing what kind of results I get.  Good to see it was well worth it for you and hope it will be the same for me

Roberta ~ I really think it is worth the money to participate in trade shows.  As I stated earlier, we already have jobs and leads from this and we have a lot of new contacts to add to your ever growing email list for our newsletters and other marketing efforts.  If you get a moment, look at tammy's blog  What's in a booth? and look at the way we set ours up.  We received a lot of positive feedback and had people stop by and spend time looking at our work.  Good Luck to you on your trade show!  I can't wait to meet you in August!!

Karen ~ Good luck with your show and I know it will be successful!  Please post about your good fortune!

Isabel ~ Good luck with your show, also!  It is so great to see so many stagers participating in these types of marketing opportunities.  It just raises the bar for all of us and gets the concept of staging out there in more and more ways.

OK, Help me out here.  Maybe I just came out of a (very lovely) cave, but what kind of shows are your talking about.  The only trade shows I can think of are home improvement shows, here in Sacramento.  That doesn't sound like a good fit.

I'm all for getting the kind of exposure that a good trade show can offer.  Sounds great!

Barbara ~This was our CTAR (Charleston Trident Association of Realtors) tech fair trade show.  It was geared towards services offered to agents. We really feel this show was a good choice for us.  We are working several leads from this show and signed a vacant staging contract today.  If a show of this type is offered in your area, go for it!

Cindy ~Please feel free to call anytime!  We would love to speak with you!  I really believe, in the right area, tradeshows can be very beneficial.  The business we have received has more than paid for the expense.

This is something to think about. You both did a great thing here and I hope you get many returns.

YES!  Work that crowd - and set yourselves apart.  My chapter recently accomplished this at the CRRA REALTORS Expo in Charlotte, NC.  The expo officials asked me if we would stage the center of the expo.  We made a mark!

Barbara ~ Thank you!  We do really feel like it was worth the time and money and we are still receiving benefits from our participation.  Good luck to you if you decide to participate in your area!

Joan ~ That is WONDERFUL!  Congratulations to you!  Effective marketing makes all the difference and any way you can find to stand out is what it is all about.
