For those of us who work in colder climates I ask you... how do you keep motivated in the winter?  For those of you who are unfamiliar with the city of Saskatoon or even the weather in Saskatchewan I'll give you a quick overview.  We have 4 distinct seasons here with our summers sitting around +30 degrees celsius and our winters going down to -30 degrees celsius.  Recently we had an artic cold front come down and had a week worth of -50 degree temperature.  Needless to say no one wanted to go outside including me but as a Saskatoon real estate agent our jobs make it mandatory that we go outside.  I try to maintain a healthy balance including regular excerise and time spent with friends and family.  Many of my friends including my signifcant other struggle with the winter and tend to want to just stay inside and not socialize outside of the house.  For myself I have made it a personal mission to at least go out a few nights a week with friends and family outside of the house during the cold winters.  As well to ensure I get my physical fitness in I have purchased a treadmill as well as elipitcal trainer.  I have to admit that there are somtimes where I just want to stay in and curl up by the fire but I feel as soon as I start making that a habit I won't face the cold anymore.  I am curious what everyone else does to beat the cold?

You are doing the right thing with the treadmill and the eliptical trainer.  ....it stays around 50 to 70 here this time of year and I wore sandals to work.....so I am no help.....

I feel your pain!  Here in WI we get winter but not like the one we are having this year!  So much snow then rain then freezing temps to make all that slush on the road ice!  The other day I lost control of my car did not hit any one or even go out of my lane but for 10 seconds my car just slid forward, freaked me out!  As i watch the news i see that we are under a wind chill advisory, nice!  As for keeping motivated.....I am having a real hard time with that right now but tomorrow is another day!  Stay warm.
