Late last night, as I was flipping through some blog posts, I decided to go and check out my blog posts from when I began on Active Rain. I noticed my one year anniversary had come and gone.
I started looking at Active Rain back in January of 2007 as simply a place to advertise myself. I never really knew what a blog was, where the Active Rain reach was going to extend to, or how large the community was going to grow to. I started posting information about my listings, the community I live in, and some basic information about me. Sure, I was an active member, I was gaining points, but what did that all mean?
I soon began to realize that this blog forum I was participating in was a great platform to not only advertise myself and my listings, but a great way to learn, to educate others, and basically become better at what I do, sell real estate in New Hampshire.
Here are some things I feel I can thank Active Rain for:
- I have learned to write better
- I have learned more about my web presence
- I have started to read more about my profession
- I have made some great contacts through networking
- My placement on search engines has gone from page 8 to page 1 and 2
- I have helped educate others (I hope!)
These are just a few things I think I can thank Active Rain for, I'm sure there are others. I have started writing more detailed posts lately, actively writing about the community that I live in and sell in. I can only hope to continue on my Active Rain journey, to read and write, to educate and learn.
I would like to thank all that have read and commented on my posts. I hope I have entertained you all. I think as the days go on, they will continue to get better.
Hope to see you again, please come back and comment.
