alternatives to home sellingIn many markets throughout the U.S. right now, about one out of every 10 homes is selling. Part of the problem is too much inventory, coupled with an incredible amount of rising foreclosures and falling prices. But what happens when your home is priced lower than surrounding comparable sales and it still isn't selling?

Assuming, of course, that your home is in top notch condition, shows beautifully, is priced below everything else that has recently sold and your agent is appropriately marketing your home through extensive online exposure, if it hasn't sold after 90 days on the market, it might be time to face the fact that it's just not going to sell.

Here are six Alternatives to Home Selling you may want to consider.

Hey thanks for the blog.  Seems like we all have houses in that category.  But I tell my clients to hang in there and remain strong.  So often I have seen homes on the market for a while then all of a sudden, someone makes an offer.  I am an eternal optimist.  Good luck in the future.

Elizabeth - I just passed day 90 without an offer on one of my listings; the sellers reduced the price and made some interior improvements in an effort to generate some interest. I'm on offer watch, but so far the phone is quiet...
