Safety Harbor is indeed an eclectic community and this quaint little town on Tampa Bay is becoming more and more diversified as adorable shops pop up all over town! One of my personal favorites is the Whistle Stop Grill and Bar.

The Whistle Stop Grill and Bar has outside seating on picnic tables under the trees and serve the best milk shakes in town!!! They also have fantastic burgers and if you want a beer to go with it, they offer a fine selection.

And, yes, they do indeed offer Fried Green Tomatoes, just like the Whistle Stop in the movie!!!! And guess what? It is also located right next to the train tracks!

You can also have catfish, fries, onion rings and a wide selection of other items that are ever so typical of our southern cooking!!!

If you are in the Safety Harbor area, stop by for lunch or dinner - or just to get a wonderful shake - my favorite is maple walnut, but I also love the strawberry shakes and the cherry shakes!!!! Oh, did I mention the pistachio shakes??????????? Yummmmmmmm
