Here are the 10 areas with the highest percentage increases in 4th quarter median selling price versus a year earlier:

1.) Cumberland MN up  19%  

2.)  Yakima, Wash up 18%

3.) Binghamton NY up 14.8%

4.) Sprinfield, Ill up 14%

5.) Kennewick, Richland-Pasco, Wash up 13.5%

6.) Bismarck, ND up 12.1%

7.) Waterloo-Cedar Falls, Iowa, up 11.2%

8.)  San Jose-Santa Clara, CA up 11.1%

9.) Topeka, KS  up 11%

10.) Amarillo Tx up 10.7%

In an earlier blog I posted how fantastic REAL ESTATE in in Topeka KS this just proves that you cannot always believe what is going on in other parts of the country is happening in your town.  That is why it is always a good idea to talk to your local Real Estate expert about the market.
