Won't happen again until December 2010...

It's quite interesting that in the Universe this type of situation occurs. Depending on your personal location, the time is not going to necessarily be 10:28.

It's quite cloudy here tonight in South Florida, however the weather can change in minutes and I am on my way out (it's 10:16 pm) here to observe...

Do you see the same eclipse in other part's of the US or the world as I do?

Did you see it, was it raining or snowing...Please do tell. Just curious as to what happen's in other part's of the world.

I did watch it!  From about 9:48, we saw the moon slowly disappear.  My 13 year old napped on the couch and woke up to see it with us.  It's still a pretty, glowing site right now!  Cool post.

We sort of saw it in Boise.  We had a temperature inversion so it was sort of cloudy. :(

It was cloudy in South Florida too.  I watched it go dark...the moon isn't back as of yet...

Amazing though, isn't it?

Unfortunately it was too overcast here to see.  I guess I will check it out in another 2010.

Natalie,

My parent's were just here for 2 weeks, they are 78 (mother) and (80) father, the most amazing times were as a child, my mother woke me up and said, "Do you want to have some hot chocolate and watch it snow on daddy's rocking chair." It was so cool...we had spot light's it is something, I'll never forget....little SPECIAL moments...

This actually was not a total eclipse of the sun, it was a lunar eclipse or a total eclipse of the moon.  It was viewable from anywhere from the West to East coast and was quite a site to see.

Michael,

I'm sure the local new's in your area will show this amazing site tomorrow am...I mean, it has to be clear somewhere...isn't it 5 o'clock somewhere? So 10:28 pm somewhere clear?

It was cloudy here in Roswell, Ga at the beginning.... but at the end I could see through the haze.... There's something about an eclipse that I find magical. Don't know why, buy I do. :-)

Karen ~  I did see it and took some pictures.  Don't know how they will come out, but I was glad I kept getting up and looking out.

Nancy,

Me too, we often don't realize the wonderful visual's we can see from earth...Magical...I like that.

Interesting to me as well. I am working with a priest (keep it benign) and I was with him and some other's the other day...I told them about my father being sick...I went home and hugged my dad, and it was amazing how well he was doing the next day... :-)

Karen, you did see it?  We missed it.  We went out just after 10pm, I'd hoped to catch it in action but it must have already gone dark.  Bummer.  Oh well, I'll check it out in 2011.  :-D

My daughter's homework was to watch it and then discuss it in class the next day. It was very cloudy and I didn't think she would get the chance to view it. From the backyard we couldn't. Then we went to the front, looked up and to the East. Finally, the clouds moved and we were able to see. It was a brief moment but she did see it. This was her second time.
