How many Blogs to you post to?

By

Hello Everyone,

Rick Callaham - Spokane Homes Expert I just wondered how many blogs people post to. I mean besides AR how many people are posting blogs to other blogs and where are these other places that people have found useful to blog. I have heard of basically people getting a blog and trying to drive traffic to it, but that seems like it could just be like a website. Now people are writing posts to sites that have a lot of traffic to get more views of their blog posts instead of trying to build a blog outside of a community.

Share your strategies for blogging and how many blogs you have, where you log and why. Also Check out our Advice for Realtors link where we have many good posts for Realtors. Remember you get out of AR what you put in, just like life.

If you would like to exchange links visit our website Real Estate Links Section.

I only have one other.  After it is getting crazy as it is- trying to keep multiple websites updated, keeping blogs updated, keeping MLS updated, doing virtual tours.  I am finding I am spending far more time on technology than meeting people face to face!

Rick I agree with Rick.  There is so much to learn here at AR, I can't keep up with this site. And it's a people business. Can't forget that.

I'm signed up at many blog sites but only post here in the Rain. I wish I had the time to post elsewhere.

I only post here.  I'm lucky I get one post complete.  I figure it is about focus.  Do one thing well instead of many things half way.  That is my theory

I post to eight different sites, and then I update my website. I have a different strategy for each one, and I am not trying to produce material everyday, I am just trying to build up a catalog of posts. Once you have a few posts under your belt (like around fifty articles), the blog starts going a bit on auto-pilot, so it does not take as much work to keep them going. Here are the sites:

Wordpress.com; My chamber of Commerce site; a community blog on a real estate site for my area; another person's blog on Typepad as a guest author; here on AR; e-zine articles; a social networking site for my area through Ning; and a directory site that lists my website, but also post articles (Go Directory)

As for promoting, you can go to my blog here on AR; I just recently posted some articles about that.

I have never tried to go to any other site - I know I don't have the time to post to multiple sites.  Good luck if you try it.

I have 2 blogs and my website.  The website is "leftover" from pre-blogging days but still serves a purpose so I'm keeping it for awhile.  I'm spending more time working on my outside blog as it is truely branded for me and not generic as AR has a tendency to be.

And how do you publish your blog in other outlets? I'm curious to know how to take the blog I have and get it out to more places.

Presently I only have two and I can't imagine trying to do more than that. My two work together, one is more local stuff only and then my Activerain is more for national coverage, relocation, but I still get a lot of local people from my Activerain blog.

The goal is to drive them to call me and if they do that, I don't think I really need more.

Rick - I listened to Mary with RSS Pieces today.  She mentioned that those who start blogging with quit within 3 months.  The reason is they spend too much time on it. Mary stated that we should only post every other day.  I can see the importance of her advice.  I was on this website for many hours each day.  Last night I was burned out and had to get off the site.  So now I'm going to change things a bit.  If you have logged into one of her seminars, she's a real treat.  I'm considering using her services.  Tomorrow's webinar is on lead generating.

Spokane Washington Real Estate Expert I want to know this same thing. It seems there are much more outlets out there and yet each one is so big to tackle, but it seems you should have a network for bigger exposure.
