Birmingham Recycles!

I recently ran across an article on The Terminal addressing the need for not just recycling, but to Learn How To Recycle.

Rebecca Schiffman, an independent film maker, put togther a video for the Alabama Environmental Council, showing Birmingham AL how to start recycling in the area.

The video gives some great information, as you can see for yourself below, such as a phone number to call to to get your recycling bin in Birmingham. (The number is 311)

Obviously this is something important to do, not just for yourself, but for the Birmingham Area as well.

I wish we could get something like that in Pensacola. You have to take your recyclables to a dumpster, which is generally located in an inconvenient place. As a result, very few people here recycle. It is a shame that our city cannot do better.

I'm glad to see other areas starting to recycle now.

We've been recycling everything except for wet waste/food products here in the Belleville/Quinte region for well over 15 years now.

In Germany absolutely everything is recycled, including appliances, furniture, etc.

Hi Stephen - This is a very important subject. First people need to learn how to recycle and then given the facilities to do so correctly. Too many stuff get thrown into the landfill that should not be there.
