Having a qualified tax professional is worth his weight in GOLD, and I mean GOLD.  MY neighbors were dong there own taxes and did not do the right tax schedule for his wife's business. Yes, they were assessed with a $30.000.00 Tax and had a payment lost by the IRS. This resulted in the IRS seizing their assets, closing their accounts, losing their credit, having current credit companies charging them 30% interest and the worst part is that the IRS sent them a letter of apology 2 years later but this would not correct the damage done to their credit and savings account.
