State of CT buys 167 Acres in Barkhamsted

The State of CT. DEP has purchased 167 acres in Barkhamsted, CT. This land abutts property already owned by the State known as American Legion State Forest. This is an ideal addition for the State to make.
The transaction was brokered by Dan Grammatica, e-PRO with Realty Executives Results of Torrington, CT.
which services Litchfield and Hartford Counties.
This property is one of the highest points in Barkhamsted and is ideally suited for the State of CT Open Space program. It also gives the State access at the end of Yarmoshuck Dr to access the rear of their existing property that borders West River Rd along the Farmington River. The State Forest and surrounding area is known for its spectacular Trout Fishing, hiking, canoeing, hunting, camping and many outdoor activities.
