Chesapeake Home buying with a Slam, dunk referral

By
Real Estate Agent with Samson Properties Broker/Realtor DC,MD/VA

This week I had a slam dunk referral.  A friend of mind emailed my info to a friend of hers.  The client contacted me a month ago and said he was flying in from Japan on the 18th and wants to look at new construction.  After getting his search criteria and contact info I sent him a few homes from the MLS and explained that when he arrives I will take him on a new construction Home Tour.

 The Norfolk Real Estate Lady!

He arrived like he promised and we looked at 5 developments in 3days.  He picked one and put his earnest money down.  NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A SLAM DUNK REFERRAL!. No drama, quick and painless.  Now the hard part will be trying to coordinate picking colors and upgrades, light fixtures, etc... while hes back in JAPAN...........

Now I need to figure out an impressive referral thank you for the friend who sent me the lead.  She is in a position where she comes in contact with people moving to my area daily.  How would you thank her?

Good for you!  I would actually send her flowers at work, that should create a buzz in her office and impress everyone.  Simple, but sweet.  Teresa

I would send her a GC for a massage.  Pampering always works well.

How about a gift card AND a bouquet of flowers?  The gift card could be one of those prepaid MasterCards or something special at a local spa/salon in her area.  I know if it were me I'd be very appreciative of those things.

Great story.  One idea I had heard was to imprint a helium balloon with a big thank-you tied to a plate of cookies or a healthy snack.  Place it in a box and have it delivered.  Once opened it would send out a huge flag to her and all her coworkers!
