Decluttering

One of the biggest tasks that a seller has is keeping their clutter in check.  I found a great website called Home Made Simple that provides tips on how to clear out the clutter!  Personalized storage baskets for each member of the family help eliminate those piles from forming on the countertops.  Each person is required to put their own junk away, too!

Buy a few of those attractive square wicker baskets you see at Target or Walmart and line with washable cloth liners.  Mine came with the liners already attached to the baskets.  Next you can personalize each basket with a photo of each person taped to the front or affixed with a safety pin.

Once you have them jazzed up, keep them accessible in a spot where everyone knows to find them.  Under a bench in the entryway, in the utility room, going up the stairs or even in a hall closet.  If you don't have time to wash the liners, squirt them down with Febreeze every now and again; they'll be fine!
