"FP_PLH" by daniel wildman - http://www.sxc.hu/profile/danzo08  Can I admit to favorites?

  Here's the story.

First time home buyers used the net to find someone to help them.

I was a first time blogger.

I had posted new home buying tips on Active Rain.

They found me ... I give them advice about establishing credit.

They followed that advice and last night we went into contract.

They couldn't be more excited that they now own a home.

It was a first for both of us- each using the internet...

Each of us happy as can be that we'd found just the right place.

That's my favorite thing- seeing the joy of people who feel the rush of owning their first home.

Thank you Active Rain!

I know there are many agents who could have helped my client. And... it may be selfish of me- but I just love being able to be a part of their experience. It's why I love this job.

Chuck, congratulations!  I just had someone contact me from one of my AR posts.  We're now under contract for a new construction home.  It is exciting to get those leads from blogging on AR.

Chuck, if you ever come back to San Antonio for a visit let me know -- I know where some of the best Mexican Food Restaurants are!

Judi- There's a Mexican food place in the Mercado that has the best fajitas ever- "La Margarita" ... though I hear the locals go to "Pico de Gallo", which I haven't tried. Know any others?

Chuck,  I know several.  I've always loved La Margarita and Mi Tierra both in the Mercado on Produce Row.  Pico de Gallo is good too -- all owned by the same family.  I love El Chaparral in Helotes too -- it's always crowded so you have to get there early.  Another one I always enjoy is Arturo El Jarro 281 & Bitters Rd.  Another place that's always crowded -- locals go to El Chaparral and El Jarro's as well as Pico de Gallo.

Congrats on the ActiveRain hat-trick, Chuck! Many of us have found that by writing with the consumer in mind, the search engines will point the way back to us. Blogging really does work!

Judi- you're an awesome salesperson... sure... I'll take two!

Wow, congrats on that.  That's definitely the "fruit" of your labor and something I am making my goal for this year.  Hopefully I'll do it before 40,000+ points!  Man, I was hoping you would only have less than 10,000...now I have to pick up the blogging efforts!

Edward- there may be a connection between points and contacts. The more you write the more you rise in the search engines. Also- it's good to be very specific about the unique things you bring to real estate. Still... this contact came from one of my very first posts.

You are welcome Chuck!! But really, we should be thanking you. Without you putting in the time and effort, I can almost guarantee that no one would be contacting you through ActiveRain.

Congratulations!

Bob- at the risk of playing congratulatory ping pong I'd like to thank you for personally for dropping in and thanking me; as you can see, I very much enjoy the success I'm having in large part due to this great medium your company has provided.
