Thank you to everyone for all their helpful comments about one of my listings in the countryside that is - it appears - off the typical beaten path for the current batch of homebuyers.

A funny thing has happened along the brainstorming way.

My clients have now decided - since they are moving in the next few weeks - that they are better off with a re-fi and then seeing if they can find any renters. Craigs List has worked in the past, so, we crossed our fingers, put the listing up, and voila! We have gotten more inquiries about this gem than when it was fully on the market!

Could our lease-to-purchase option just be more appealing? Or are people just too cautious in this market and want to rent only?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this phenomenon? I would love some input!
