Inappropriate complaining..

Life is way to short to spend it angry. I get upset just like anyone else from time to time. Often, I look back later and realize it was foolish to be so upset over something so small.

It is important for me and for you not to MAJOR on the MINORS. The little things, like being cut off in traffic or having to stand in line or waiting an extra 4 minutes for our drink at Starbucks rather than the usual 30 to 45 seconds. Why bust a vessel over something so small.

SAVE THE RAGE! If you must get angry try focusing it on Government Waste of our taxes, Political correct police, people who are trying to steal from you, abuse your children emotionally.

LIFE IS SHORT. Best not to harbor your anger too long. I want people at my funeral even though I will not be there. I want them to have nice things to say about me and it occurs to me that there is still time for me to have an effect on their speeches.

So, today I choose not to be angry at anyone, to be quick to forgive and avoid being critical. See you at my funeral.

Hi Alan - You are right, people need to not sweat the small stuff, it just raises blood pressure for all involved.

If you dwell on the negative then negative things seem to happen

Pam:

Well said. There is too much promise just ahead of us so why complain about what is behind us.

Good thought.  The goal should be not to make the minister a liar when he's saying nice things about you,

Yahoo Alan!

I some times get a little pissed off at mean and uncaring people, but I get over it in a flash for I know their life is miserable and sucks big time.

So, I feel sorry for them and I feel that I'm MORE blessed than that they are.

Cheers, KIM.

Alan, I agree with you people need to relax. When I was living in Miami I used to get so upset when people would cut me off...( a little road rage.:-)  )  anyway a good friend of mine is a Miami Dade Police officer. He told me how many people have guns in cars in Miami..... Now when someone cuts me off. I tell them thankyou..:-)

Matthew:

And they say guns don't solve problems. Ha

At least you relaxed. It is not worth stressing over.

Alan- Well hopefulyy not too darn soon eh? You have a great point though, life to too short for the little stuff to get so big. Resentment kills, us and those around us too, literally sometimes. What I ask myself is, will this matter to me in a year, five? Most times the answer is no.

Alan - Live is too short to get upset over the trivial things.  Even with the bigger things, I try to take a couple of big breaths, and relax before proceeding ahead.

Vanessa:

Great comments. I could not add anymore.

Candy:

If we step away from the emotion for a while we usually approach the situation differently. Great advice. I try not to write emails or posts when I am very upset. They tend to come across wrong and cause more anger. Your advice is good for us all. Lets all take a deep breath and say goooosthraba
