The ever changing market is a definite challenge. The ever changing Real Estate market has agents seeking other jobs, part-time positions, some leaving forever. Sad as some may say this market is...I have more people looking for deals than ever.  People who are renting with some cash on hand are looking for a diamond in the rough.  They want to own a home. Now is the chance for them to hopefully secure a short sale or foreclosure and in a year or two have a property that appraises to what it should have two year's ago.

That being said, the real estate industry is not in a good situation, however, I think positively...some of our customers can rescue those who have been victim's of the boom of 2005...people who had no idea that the boom (and their choice of a balloon mortgage-which came back to bit them) would be devastating to them.  It is such a sad sitation that what could have been a wonderful situation has ended up ruining their credit...left them out to find a rental (b/c they have been evicted)(and they no longer have a credit score worthy of a rental)...

That being said, it is sad, people with children who bought properties in an area that they were comfortable in a school district that they were happy with, and that they felt comfortable raising their children...now have moved back in with their parents. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!  This is wrong.

WHY? Because there are buyer's out there who are willing to buy these properties, to keep these families out of short sales and foreclosures and it is taking the lender's so long to reply ( they meet once or twice a month ) that it is ruining honest people, who were duped by lenders back in 2005 and they are lost, depressed, and have ended up moving in with their parents...There is not room in their home...it is sad.

What can we do as agent's to change this situation?  I know...not much...but if we collectively work at it, we and people will survive...

In my opinion, the market is NOT as bad as the naysayer's say it is...

Keep that focus and attitude and 5 years from now you will be in the money, and you will turn around and there will be a whole new batch of agent faces.

Thanks for the kudo's.  It take's a lot of patience right now in this market, but if you keep your attitude going in the right direction...the customer's will find you.
