February 22, 2008-  (Chris Castetter writes)  With so much negative press over the last several months about a declining real estate market.  What do the numbers speak here in our own back yard about real estate and home sales in Hendricks County? 

Currently in Hendricks County, there are 1,323 homes for sale and over the last six months there have been 906 homes sold.  On a very broad basis, this reflects an absorption rate of more than twelve months worth of inventory.

Something to be aware of is the fact that 1,251 homes expired (failed to sell) over the past six months.
