Increasing traffic on your website. The ultimate goal of a successful website is to have more traffic thus more leads and possible sales. So here are some quick tips to get more traffic to your site. Start by including your web address everywhere you can in print or anywhere your business is represented. Some general ideas are to add it to your business cards, stationery, flyers, brochures or advertisements -- anything you create for your business or organization!

Now that takes care of media in other venues. How about other sources on-line? Aside from the general banner advertising, or pay per click campaigns think of increasing your self in social media sites as well. This is a different type of marketing--spend the time to make sure you are found on social media sites, and other networking sites similar to activerain. This will provide the opportunity to link back to your website. The other obvious way is to blog. I would always suggest using links to your site in your posts, it creates quick access if the reader is already interested.

So this should be a great start to getting more traffic to your website. The final stage is good SEO, this is the key to organic search engine ranking which is most valuable. Higher page rankings will ultimately draw in the action taking consumer. If they are searching then they are interested in the service. The biggest mistake that most people make is having a weak title tag. This will hamper you in organic searches.

Great tips and advice. The website will be the make or break tool for successful agents in the future. Any agent not putting focus on their web presence now, will be in other careers in the future. Have a great weekend and happy selling!!

While my website is on every piece of print material I send/give out, visits from people via search engines still far outweighs direct visitors.  As my web traffic increases I'm still looking for ways to get more visits directly to my site.

Carol Lee,

To explain social media sites, would include sites like ActiveRain, Wanna Network, Facebook, Squidoo, etc. In other words sites where you can post your profile and share in the site, such as blogging, etc. The good thing about social media sites is that you get the added exposure plus the backlinks to your website from your profile page. VIRTU-ASSIST offers social media marketing for agents so if you need any help with this area of marketing let me know as we are always happy to help.

Thanks to all for your comments. Yes with over 80% consumers searching online first--you really can't afford not to be online. Organic Search Engine Placement is key..if they can find you they can use you. It is also a good idea to use social media and extensive listing exposure as well. The more places you can be found the better. Then if you are found you should try and find a hook to lead them to your site. Best of luck to all in the internet marketing game!
