Saturday Morning Breakfast Club...Active Rain Style!

By
Title Insurance with Patriot Land Transfer, Inc.

What better way to start a weekend than a 'Saturday Morning Post'...after all, 'Post' makes cereals...and cereals are usually breakfast food...I think that famous magazine 'The Saturday Evening Post' had it all backwards.

Well the first thing I like to do to prepare for a post is come up with a theme!

So reflecting over this past week, the theme for my post must revolve around 'health' or 'accident'...no, I'm not talking about insurance, I'm talking about the 'health issues' my family encountered this week!

Thank God, all ended well!!!

But, of the seven of us in the family, five needed some sort of medical assistance! Thank God also for HMO's!

Let's start with my youngest, Ashley...4 and a half years of energy, pure spunk, determination, and beauty...ear infection requiring antibiotics!

Then Jared, 9 years old of toughness, durability, double-jointedness, 'suck-it-upness'...fell playing basketball and sprained his wrist!!! No medical attention required, only a lot of TLC!

Justin, eleven, and usually astute and careful enough to avoid injury...splinter in index finger, that, according to him, "went up to my elbow"! No formal medical attention required, only my wife's family secret of putting bacon fat on area to remove splinters???

Josh, our thirteen year old, fell off one of his vehicles early in the week, scraping his knee badly! Choosing to ignore it under the guise of him 'milking it', we, his parents were negligent in not obtaining a stitch or two i mmediately...ended up taking the badly looking ugly colored knee and child to the pediatrician who performed all but minor surgery on it in her office! Sorry Josh!!!

Then there's the 'old man'...had to seek attention from a dermatologist to remove a lesion from my scalp...routine biopsy check to rule out anything serious! Pheeeew!!!

Benita, Emily, and Dog Daisy...thanks for staying healthy and taking care of us...the walking wounded!

Anyhow, it's Saturday morning at the Gaspari residence...hope I didn't ruin anyone's breakfast!!!

Sounds like a hectic week Fran - at least now you can say it's over and get on to a better one next week!  BTW I love your starting theme on this, my maiden name is Post.  I've always wanted to use it in RE somehow with marketing but never have...you did great!

Audrey,

This is 'pre-tweezer', and a substitute for MY grandmother's method of sterilizing a needle by running it through your hair and then aggressively going after the splinter!!! LOL Thanks,   Fran

Fran~My goodness did have your share. I'm so glad that everybody is doing good now and nothing life threatening, however that splint "all the way up the the elbow" sounds pretty life threatening. :)  Have a wonderful weekend.

As my Dad would always say, being alive means "in a crisis " or "on your way to the next crisis" - In fact, the absence of a crisis means you're probably six feet under, so be grateful for all the reassurances that you are alive and well.  lol.
