Right now I'm sitting on the 9th floor of a hotel room about ready to head down to the annual company awards banquet were we as agents are recognized for our achievements for the year and receive our pats on the back and kudos.  It is a great accomplishment to achieve your life's goals set by yourself for yourself.  But I cannot take all the credit.

tracy ribaThis is a huge THANK YOU to my husband and two children.  I do this job for them.  My husband works tirelessly as a high school teacher.  So I sell real estate to allow our family to do those things beyond paying bills.  We have taken trips to Disney Land, Disney World, amusement parks and Myrtle Beach just in the last few years.  We still want to tour Washington DC and New York.  But if it weren't for their patience and sacrifices, and my children going on some appointments with me, there would be no awards ceremony.

So I dedicate this evening to ThemThem.  My husband, son and daughter who are my reason for choosing this career.  I love you all.

Hi Tracy. Congrats on being recognized. Hard work pays off. So many complain, but in this day and age, you must go out and get the business. If you wait for the phone to ring, or for 'up' time, you may have a long wait. - Ray

Congratulations Tracy.  I too remember going to Disneyland with my crew, and loved this business because most of the time I could get home when they got out of school.  Couldn't do that in the normal 9-5 situation.

That must have be interesting having your kids with you on an appointment. How does that usually work out? What a great experience for your kids to see Mom in action :-)

I am careful to explain to every client, before showing up with my children, that they are my priority and that they will be supervised and well behaved.   In 3 1/2 years, I have never had a complaint.  But I can't say that will last forever.  I know that the time will end.  I keep asking my 4 year old daughter if she will sell homes with me in the future.  She get's rather excited about the possibilities.

Brilliant way to handle a potential negative into a super-positive! How soon until your daughter has her license? LOL
