Harsh cold in the Phoenix area

Milder temperatures have returned to the Phoenix area.    I'm waiting patiently to see the impacts to our trees and shrubs.    As mentioned in prior blog entries our nine Ficus trees have taken a hit.   Many are about five years old and probably will make it.    If I look very very closely underneath I can still see green leaves.   Now I believe some of the Hibicus bushes (my wife's favorite) and lantana appear dead.    I do know from experience that Lantana's are particularly hardy so I do expect a comeback from them.    

My current projections are that I've lost maybe one Ficus (only a year old) and possibly several hibiscus.  I continue to wait patiently and stare at the brown leaves.
