Donald Trump and Jorge Perez of the Realted Group have joined forces to move the slow selling Icon Condos into the sought after Trump Tower Palm Beach. When Trump signed on, the name of the project was changed to Trump Tower because of the strength of the Trump brand. Trump said he had no worries about the slow real estate market, even with several condo projects in the area cancelled and about 4,000 condo units set to come on the market in the next couple years.
This project will appeal to customers wanting ultra-luxurious living. The 23-story building will have 150 units priced from $900,000 to more than $2 million. There are great water views, a rooftop putting green and a marina. Because of Trumps involvement, this project is given worldwide presence and will attract buyers from around the world. About 50 buyers have put money down for reservations to purchase.
Donald Trump and his daughter, Ivanka, were present for the kick-off big party this past week. It is expected that construction will begin by the year's end with completion in 2009.
