A Message from Lance Winslow:

Thank you for coming to my Real Estate Blog. The Real Estate Sector is going through some tough times, but like anything, there are cycles and sector rotations, so, it will eventually recover. Depending on how closely you have watched many real estate markets in the United States go through 10-year cycles and although being at the bottom of a cycle is no fun, it is a temporary situation, it will not last forever. Individuals investing real estate long-term have made millions over time and made many of their family members quite wealthy.

One of the main reasons for creating this blog was to interact with the real estate community, the actual people who make a living working in the real estate sector, as Realtors, Agents, Home Stagers, Mortgage Brokers, Inspectors and Real Estate Service folks. Having been in the Franchising Sector, which often seems to be more about real estate than the actual business model itself, I have been involved for years in all aspects of the real estate sector. During my career as a Franchisor, I set up franchised outlets in 23-states, serving nearly 450 cities. The Real Estate side of the business gets in your blood and becomes a part of who you are.

The Real Estate Industry from building and construction to sales and services is a major part of our overall economy in the US. Thus, the happenings in and around this sector should be of interest to all because what happens here effects all corners of our society, economy and civilization. I sincerely, hope that as you read some of my 500 Blog Posts here at ActiveRain, that you will gain a greater knowledge, understanding and love for the real estate sector. I have enjoyed preparing this information for you and others who happen by. I feel it is important to share my experience, observations and knowledge with you.

Lance, congratulations on reaching 500 posts.  You no doubt are one of the most prolific bloggers out there.  And definitely one of the fastest!  Onward to 1000!

Katrina, I figure this, people need content on their website, I write decent stuff, and I want to give my knowledge to the world, while supporting my business efforts. Therefore its a win/win for all. I know real estate professionals have outside blogs, websites, need information for email newsletters, hey, go for it, help me spread this information, that is one of my main goals.

I guess I am not the only one who wondered where you had gone.  I surely appreciate your encouragement of investing in real estate since that is my focus.  The beauty of investors, they make quick and informed decisions and they keep coming back for more.  Good luck to you.  It is shaping up to be a great year in Ann Arbor, MI!  Rumblings of the Gates Foundation buying the nearly vacant Pfizer place - what a shot in the arm that would be!
