Are you thinking of leaving the business?

I have seen so many people leave the Real Estate business over the last year or so and that got me thinking...  (I know that is a dangerous thing!)  Have you or are you thinking of looking into new career opportunities?  If so, what was the defining moment that led you to consider the career change.

For me the area of Real Estate we focus on has such a powerful upside and is so rewarding I could never leave it.  I know things are tough, but I understand that it is just part of the Real Estate sales cycle and we will see success again.  But, I do understand that we all have different markets and career decisions to make.  If you are in this business for the long haul, why are you staying in it and what are you going to do to make sure you are successful?  I want to hear from you!

Talk about bad timing.  I just got into the business around April of last year so years from now I will be able to say I survived the worst real estate market ever!

Well, fortunately our area isn't in the slumps but we have increased our ranks by 200 agents in the last two years and slightly decreased the number of transactions total in the area.  I certainly saw growth last year but have to figure that we will see some using the exit door soon!

It isn't bad timing it is good training. If you can make it in this market you will make it. This business is just like any other business and that is to be successful you have to earn it.
