Whole Foods In Douglassville: A Great Innovation In Healthy Living!

By
Title Insurance with Patriot Land Transfer, Inc.

How's this for a 'mission statement':

"We care for the earth by promoting organic & bio-dynamic farming methods. We conduct our business in a respectful & ethical manner while building strong cooperative ties within our larger community.
In a more personal way, we support each individuals quest to learn more about healthy choices in diet & lifestyle. Finally, we are committed to honoring each customer with outstanding service."

No, this is not a new Active Rainer...it is not a new real estate professional...it is the mission statement for a wonderful new store which has become a hallmark of our Douglassville community! The Kimberton Whole Foods Store!

Actually, they aren't new...they opened up over a year ago in the Douglassville facility. I had become familiar with the Kimberton Whole Foods store by visiting their Kimberton, Pa location which has operated successfully for years.

Well now, Douglassville has a tremendous new asset to its heart of great merchants!

Try Kimberton Whole Foods Store...you will find they have a great selection of 'naturally grown' foods, 'gluten free' products for those on allergies, and a grand variety of specialty health items, including fresh vegetables, organic cereals, low salt soups, specialty spring waters, nuts, dried fruits, safe cosmetic products, etc...Take a tour of their Douglassville location as soon as possible...you won't be disappointed!!!

You'll still need to visit our other neighborhood food facility, 'Redners', an excellent employee owned discount food store, but don't pass up the opportunity to check out Kimberton Whole Foods!!!

Also, take this opportunity to begin learning to choose more nutricious, healthier, food selections for your family...read ingredients on food labels, wean your family off of 'chemically overloaded' foods. The people at Kimberton Whole Foods will courteously help you in that selection process...and there are many books and periodicals which you can purchase there which explain the 'whole foods' philosophy!

Oh, and tell those nice people you heard about them on Active Rain!!!

Fran... I am seeing more and more about healthy living and foods. Just look at the ECO stuff that is popping up all over TV now.... On another note, your first picture, did you add the words in that picture?  If so, how did you do that?  Or was it copied?  thanks

Fran,

Wonderful post promoting an awesome business...I LOVE their mission statement.

As a person who is allergic to gluten, dairy, garlic, msg and chocolate, I can see they would quickly become my favourite place to shop.  The choices in my area are limited, although my local supermarket does have a section with many items that are safe for me, including gluten free breads, cereals and snack items.

Fran

I just love things like tomatoes and whole foods. They only problem I have is when I go by certain restaurants my car wants to turn in because everything smells so good.

Sincerely

Hi Fran, Kimberton Whole Foods sounds like a great place to shop! I love food that is not "chemically overloaded!" It is good to see you getting the word out so Kimberton's will enjoy success!

Jeff - I just downloaded Gimp - a free "photoshop" type program that was recommended by an Lane Bailey. Works great! I think you can add text with it.

Jo: It's not a very big place, but you could spend hours in there!!! :)

Tom: I think we have the same 'disease'!!! :)

Mary: Now here's a case where a 'hot link' in a comment section is laudable...where's Rich Jacobson when you need him??? LOL

Hi Fran. If it's anything like the Whole Foods Market chain  here in Jersey, then I know it's a good store.

Eugene,

I like that chain, but no, this is a local family operated 'hands on' business with I think four locations now!!! Thanks,   Fran

P.S. Part of the excitement is the 'personal touch' you feel when you shop there!!! And it is much smaller in size than the chains!

FRAN - Whole Foods is a great store.  I don't have one nearby, but when I lived closer to one, I went there a lot.  I even used to go there when I worked in NYC to buy a prepared lunch, which was also very high quality.

Adam,

Not to be confused with the 'Whole Foods' chain...this is a family operation with four outlets!!! Very personal service!!! Thanks,   Fran

Wish we had a store like this close by. I have a son who has TONS of allergies to foods and we read every label before it comes into our home. I love stores like this!
