I set-up a spreadsheet that I can download information from my bank onto it. MS Money is good, and GnuCash is free. Mint.com will do this for you automatically (it is a internet based program).

I agree we have to track our spending. It is easy to spend more than we mean to spend because of credit cards. I will check out the free sites.
