The National Weather Service offers Storm Spotter Training classes for the public each year before severe weather season... I encourage everyone to try to attend one of these classes.
Classes have been scheduled for 2007, now is the time to mark your calendars for one of these events.
The "Weather 101" program dates and time

*The spotter training program lasts for approximately one hour and 15 minutes, and will consist of a PowerPoint presentation of slides, video and discussion Each session will be presented by a Meteorologist from the National Weather Service.
**Advanced Spotter Class requires reservations and charges admission.
