Syndication Partner Overview: Zillow

Services for Real Estate Pros with vFlyer Inc.
Zillow As I mentioned in my round up of new partners, vFlyer now syndicates real estate listings to the very popular real estate site Zillow. Many of you know Zillow as the home real estate valuation service. The idea is simple, You type in the address of a property and find out its Zestimate, an approximation of a home's market value! Last year Zillow announced they are going to begin accepting listings from real estate professionals and essentially entered into the real estate classified ad marketplace business! The move made a lot of sense given that 50% of their 4 million monthly visitors are in the market to buy or sell a house. Their syndication service has been up and alive for several months and Zillow has done a great job of integrating agent and broker listings into their search results. Zillow_sydnication For vFlyer users, syndicating to Zillow is easy! I previously talked about how you can add Zillow and other new real estate partners to your list of available marketplaces. Simply create a flyer (or edit an existing one), add Zillow to the list of marketplaces you automatically want your listing syndicated to, click the publish or re-publish button and you are done! You have put in your full days work and you can go home and wait for the phone to ring! Example: Here is an example of what a vFlyer that has been syndicated to Zillow looks like:

Is there a way to make sure that you the agent are the default response if you add a vFlyer at the same time that your company is sending Zillow a feed?

Sharon,

Right now, Zillow will give precedence to the information that the Broker provides.

I love the added syndication.  I guess I will have to go in today and add the zillow feature to all of my flyers.  What if my listings are already posted on Zillow?  Will they show up twice?

Hey all, Sara from Zillow here.  Great post Aaron!  It is so important that your customers know about all of the sites their listings are appearing on when using your service.

Sharon- Today Zillow gives precedence to whomever sends us the lead first.  We are currently working on changing that so that Broker will always be given precedence.  That change is about two months out, give or take.  However, almost all of the Brokers we currently work with are sending us their agents' contact information to be displayed on the site and all leads are going directly to the agent.  I noticed you are with Remax, who is not sending us listings at this time, so vFlyer is definitely a good way for you to get on the site.

Bill- No, your listings will not show up twice.  We de-duplicate everything that comes in from all of the various sources.

* All vFlyer customers should go on Zillow and register for a free account.  This will enable you to set up a free profile page with marketing text, your photo, and a link to your website.  Make sure to use the same email address when registering that vFlyer has on file for you.  Then when vFlyer sends us one of your listings, we match the email address on the listing with your profile and your photo with a link to your profile will should up on all of your listings, along with all your listing and contact information vFlyer is already sending.
