It is almost enough to make a person disbelieve in global warming. The winter of 2007/2008 seems like it will never end. Here, in Northern Illinois we have gotten extreme cold temperatures, then snow, then thawing, then more snow. It makes showing real estate real difficult. When taking buyers out, I've had to plod through 12 inches of snow, endure nearly freezing fingers when unlocking doors and try to avoid slipping on ice. Last week I thought it was over. Snow started melting and grass was actually visible. I even saw some happy birds. Then last night, we got hit again, about 3 or 4 inches of new snow. Well, I guess it is only February and, on Friday I leave for Florida and some sunshine.

I am beginning to think we will never thaw!  Enjoy Florida...think about all of us stuck here in the Midwest. :) If you could bring some of the nice weather back with you, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Thanks Laura. I'm hoping it's warmer when I get back.

If this isn't a reason to move to warmer climates?!   Grew up in Ann Arbor (Missy Caulk territory) - loved it - but never looked back!

Rich...so am I! Have a great trip. :) I will try to not be too jealous.

James-You're right. If my parents had not lived in the area and been in their 80's, I probably would have relocated when I left my corporate job in 2000. My dad has since passed away, but my mom is now 94. Her sister is 100!

Laura-I'm just glad I didn't leave this week. The roads most of the way to Florida are in bad shape, and the temperature in Tampa is only in the 50's this morning, according to the Weather Channel.
