Bob's World Famous Java Jive in Tacoma

In doing research for this post I found out that there are already over 1300 homes in Tacoma that are already on one form of the historic register or another. This is just in Tacoma! Many homes are on the register because they are in historic districts within the city. Others like the building over  here.
are on the register for their historical or architectural significance. There are over 140 specific buildings on the register. Some are quite funky,  some are historically significant. All have had their history recorded on the historic register.

If you want to know more please attend this very important and valuable seminar on the 13th. of March.

Hi Scott - is the person who lives in the teapot related to the "Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe!" LOL! That is a very cool looking building! This is a good post for those who live in historic homes. I'm certain the seminar will be packed with information! Is there an age criteria in Tacoma?

Mary- LOL.. actually it is a tavern. A very odd tavern.... day glo paint etc....

50 years is the current age for a home/building to be considered "historic"

Best,

Scott

Hey Scott - just joined up.  I'm 4 blocks over in the Blue Flash Cube buildings.  I love the historic homes and buildings around here.  I even painted several years ago when I was working for my Brother-in-laws paint company - including the Bank of California, the home that was in the movie "The 10 Things I Hate About You", the Scandanavian Hall, and the lighthouse on Dash Point.

Maybe I'll run in to you sometime poking through some of our classic beauties around here.

 Take care,

Glenn
