I was speaking today to a residential agent regarding a contract she is working on. She is going to receive an agent bonus of more than $10,000. She mentioned that the builder did not put in the contract that the bonus was part of selling broker compensation but the agent is going to get the bonus at closing. Basically I do not think the clients are aware of the bonus.
As an agent, do you think this should be disclosed to the buyer or not? If it not required legally, what about ethically?
