I am interested in hearing about what books you may have found helpful in your real estate business and/or life in general. I have found that many books directed to real estate professionals can be a bit stuffy and repetitive. I have read The Secret and enjoy books that challenge my thoughts. If anyone has a good read that is different than the rest. Let me know!

Lindsey, I like The E Myth, by Michael Gerber. He talks about automating the sales process for consistency and efficiency.

Check out Carl Sewell's "Customers For Life". This book is very powerful and talks about customer service and how to build relationships by going above and beyond your competition and becoming known for this type of service. This is NOT a real estate book but the principals apply 100% to our business.

It's Not About the Money...It's About Being the Best You Can Be! (Paperback)

It is the key to moving from being an agent to being a business owner and beyond read it and if you don't love it I will buy it back from you and pay for a 2nd book of your choice

"Selling The Invisible" by Harry Beckwith is another powerful book. If you want a thought provoking book on marketing check out "Purple Cow" by Seth Godin. If you tell us specifically what you are wanting to learn I am sure many of us can be much more specific in our book recommendations.

Welcome to ActiveRain, Lindsey! A couple of my favorites are The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and Realty Blogging. Two that I'm reading now are Seth Godin's Small Is The New Big and All Real Estate is Local by David Lereah.

Hi Lindsey,

Chuck mentioned "The Travelers Gift" but didn't show enough love for Andy Andrews, the author. He is awesome, I have seen him speak in Vegas, Palm Spring and next month in the West Indies. I am actully just about to do a lunch and learn presentation on the "7 decisions of Success" that the book is based on. I have 7 CD's and a workbook that I coach some other realtors on if you are interested. Actually Brenda Tevis and Janice A from your old office are in the process now I have them on.
