This has my curiosity piqued, too.  The beaded doorways lead me to believe it is in a tropical location, although the foliage does not indicate tropics. I'll be watching to see if anyone comes up with information on this.

It looks like the containers are used as "foundations" in order to achieve elevation.

Gee...  Doesn't look like any of them are on permanent foundations!  Those will be issued Title Insurance!  LOL!
