I was told by a lender today that Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac (they buy the loans after local lenders make them...if the loans fit their guidelines) are tightening their guidelines again... they are flagging areas as transitioning and declining areas based off sales in the last 6 months...  they are also raising the standards to even qualify for a loan.  So my advice is if you were thinking about buying a home, don't wait.  Call your realtor today!  If you are in the Greater Omaha Area, this includes Bellevue, Papillion, Omaha, Plattsmouth, Elkhorn, & Gretna you can search the entire MLS on http://www.tlc-realestate.com/, email, or call me directly.  If you have any questions at all please call me at (402) 714-5243.
