Golden Rule: Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You.
When someone shares an email address with me, I immediately give them my promise that not only is that address confidential to me, it will not appear on any automatically generated email lists or spam lists, and that I value their time and right to peace and privacy.
If they decide to allow me to set up any type of automatic search for properties that meet that criteria, then of course I will do it, only because they want me to.
How often have you given your business card at a networking function, only to have your email box begin filling up with loads of new drip campaign emails? aaarrRRRRRGGGGG!
If you and I have met and we have developed some sort of relationship that one of us has encouraged information from the other, than of course that is great! I do like gaining new friends, we all do. I gladly welcome that type of email, but please.....
