I am amazed to see how much shift has occurred in the last three years. I am talking about how an industry, which was once and still is highly competetive and a lone wolf sort of business, has now evolved to more and more people truly working together.
I look within our own company and I am constantly seeing EXIT offices sharing training, information, inviting brokers from other EXIT offices to speak at various events. It is refreshing and encouraging to see.
These brokers are increasing their agents' expertise through this philosophy of working arm in arm. Additionally, we have a number of agent and small broker advocates who volunteer their time at the various boards, simply for the love of the craft. Kudos to you! It takes a village to raise a child. We could say the same about developing excellent real estate professionals. It takes the combined efforts, expertise, instruction and support from a network of individuals who are passionate about the business. This love of the craft is passed along to the rookies and ultimately each client is better served.
We have an upcoming session which is a fine example of these trainings and learning opportunities.

Alan,
Not withstanding the overt EXIT plug, I agree with you that as a profession we need to all work and share information to better the industry as a whole. Certainly we are competitive and each have our own ways of doing things, but ideas to enhance our professionalism should be openly shared much as they are here on active rain.
