Well, here you have it.  California has snagged the first (as far as I know) Feng Shuied McDonalds

http://money.aol.com/news/articles/_a/calif-mcdonalds-tries-feng-shui-theme/n20080224141709990018

I did some research a few years ago and found the following companies who used Feng Shui:  IBM,  Chase Manhattan Bank,  Coca Cola US Division,  Donald Trump:  Trump Towers,  CNN, ABC,  ATT,  IMAX Ridefilm Corporation,  Business Week World Editor, William Holstein, Wall Street Journal,  LAPD,  Citi Bank,  Microsoft,  Hyatt Hotels,  Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center,  PBS,  Ponderosa Homes,  American Express,  First Republic Bank ,  Royal Canadian Mounted Police,  Proctor and Gamble,  Kellogg's,  Boeing, REMAX,  MGM Grand Hotel,  Solomon Smith Barney,  Shanghai Banking Corporation,  In-Style Magazine

and my favorite...because I was involved... Lockheed Martin.  Even the rocket scientists know this stuff works.

How long do you think it will take before more businesses are finding out about Feng Shui?  Or, maybe a better question would be, "How long do you think it will be before businesses are not embarassed to admit they use Feng Shui?"

Interesting post. I am not knowledgeable in this area however it is interesting that things that were traditionally "blown off as too exotic or eccentric" is being utilized as a business tool!

Thanks.

Right!  I'm hoping that people are starting to realize that just as some "Old Wives Tales" have a basis in truth...the ancient arts are also based on experiences of some sort.  As we translate these experiences, we find that when we put the knowledge to the test, some passes and some doesn't.  This is what the Feng Shui Research Center does...we look at the old school...and then see if it works now.  A lot of it does.  Some has to be adapted...but the basic principles remain.  Didn't the American Indians make tea of willow bark for pain relief years before anyone pulled asprin out of it?

I had the pleasure of visiting a feng shuied home as a buyers agent once.  Some of the stuff is a little iffy, but the furniture placement and such, I'm totally on board with.

I see more and more Feng Shui in the real estate market, if it works for peace and harmony and helping a home sell.. why not?  and it does seem to be working :))

Lockheed Martin is huge around here, I'll have to ask some people if they are doing that here.

Classical Feng Shui does not automatically "show".  My house has only one or two things that look asian... nothing that would point to the fact that I am a Feng Shui consultant.  So, many of you may have been in Feng Shuied homes and not realize it.  Feng Shui is all about how you use your space...how that energy flows and how it supports the people who live there.   The western style Feng Sui isn't always accurate... it was developed when someone came over and decided that westerners were not smart enough to understand the real thing.  So, it's been "dumbed down".  We're changing things now though.  More and more practitioners are using the old fashioned kiind of Feng Shui...and it's showing.  The real deal works...and it keeps working.

Feng Shui works.  My office always gets Shui'ed before I move in as well as my house.

It's even better if you can get it checked out before you buy...some houses can't be cured.  Some will never need a cure...most are right down the middle.  They just need someone who knows Feng Shui to tell the new owners/buyers how to use the house and what if any cures need to be placed.

I wish I had known this stuff when I was in my 20's...I'd have saved money, time...and probably a marriage.  Ah well...
