With over 300 days of sunshine per year, the weather in Henderson is a big reason why so many people love southern Nevada.

Our desert climate has an average temperature of 68, with only 4.5 inches of rain per year. This makes just about anytime a great time to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities.

In spring and fall, temps range from the mid 60's to low 90's, and because of our low humidity it's very comfortable any time of day.

Summer temps are often in the triple digits. That might sound extreme, but most residents still spend plenty of time outdoors in the mornings and evenings. Only when it rises above 110 does it really feel hot, and that is usually just for a couple of weeks in July and August.

For more information, go to "Tips for Living in the Desert" on the city of Henderson's website. Or take a look at the current Henderson weather right now -- and then get outside and enjoy it!

I always think of Nevada being as hot as Phoenix. I didn't realize your average summer temps where under 100.  You do have nice weather.  I love the sunshine!

Very nice graph, John.  It is pretty accurate for Mesquite, too.  (NO, I am not going to steal it!)  Business is picking up over here, how about you?

John - After we spoke on the phone, I wondered if you were still intending to write this post.  Well done!
